George has designed two beautiful dental offices for me. He knew how to get the plans approved by the city and added a lot of innovative touches to the final designs. Building a dental office is complicated and can be stressful, but George makes it seem easy.

I initially found George by calling various dental suppliers. They all seemed to refer me to him because of his reputation and knowledge. In 2009 we purchased a historical property in La Canada Flintridge, CA, with the aspiration of opening an elegant and inviting dental studio. From the word “Go”, we knew this would be quite an undertaking, as the property is an old cottage-styled home that had been added onto in the past.
This is where Unique Interior Designs / George Fedyna came in. We wanted to preserve the main structure of the property as best as possible, yet configuring a floor plan to accommodate treatment rooms and operatories, offices, a consult room, lab/sterilization area, conference room/kitchen combination, restrooms and reception area was quite a challenge with the footprint of the space. If that isn’t enough of a challenge, throw in the permits required by the city, from everything from plumbing and electrical, to handicapped accessibility and parking, and even the signage structure.
With the expertise of George Fedyna on our side, we were finally able to make our vision become reality. George was able to develop a floor plan to incorporate all of our needs for space, which also provided for a natural flow of movement throughout the office, not only for us, but for our patients as well. He handled all of the required city permits, including attending the meetings to gain approval for each portion of the project, which is no easy task in La Canada Flintridge, especially with limited dates to meet with the board for approvals.
As you enter our Flintridge Dental Studio, the feeling of elegance and serenity take the stage, with the rich hardwood floors and tile throughout, custom cabinetry and marble surfaces, which has proven to be another area in which George’s attention to detail truly shines.

When I had the opportunity to do my new office in San Fernando I didn’t use the design services of George Fedyna C.I.D. even though I have successfully used his services on other projects in the past.
The most egregious mistake (among the many) was the ortho chairs didn’t fit in the ortho bay. When my equipment dealer came in to install the chairs and saw that they wouldn’t fit within the allotted space they suggested that we make a hole in the outside wall so that the chair would fit. Needless to say I was very upset.
My business manager said “Call George” and let him fix the problem for you. I called George right away and because of his vast knowledge of dental design he corrected my problems with some tweaking of the existing design. Other problems persisted because we were too far along in the construction phase.
In closing if you have the opportunity to work with George don’t hesitate to do so because he will save you time and money with expertise.

Dear George,
I wanted to thank you for a job well done. As you know I started the design process of my office about a month prior to contacting you. I started working with a company that had an “in house” architect and was well into the bidding and planning when we ran into some issues that in my opinion should have been apparent from the beginning! That’s when I hesitantly contacted you and asked for help- I was hesitant because I did not want to spend the extra money. But I have to admit that I was wrong and that this was the best money I spent.
Your advise has been invaluable! You made the design process interesting and your input will make the difference between an OK office and a great one- I cannot wait until the office is ready for me to enjoy the little details. I know where everything is going to be and I know that there won’t be any surprises during the construction (Having remodeled two homes, I know how expensive and frustrating change orders can be).
Your knowledge of the logistics inside a dental office and the work flow has been a tremendous help in finding the right equipment. The small “touches” that you have added will certainly impress our patients, while creating an office that is easy to work in.
Finally, I wanted to thank you for your timeliness. Our project was delayed due to changing contractors, but you acted promptly by doing the design and referred us to your colleague for engineering. We are now back on track again, and I look forward to the next stage of construction.

Back in 1996 I wanted to start my own dental practice and after researching where to rent, we found a very small 628 sq. ft. office. Naturally with such a small office, space is at an absolute premium and nothing could be wasted. Hawaii has some of the most expensive real estate in the world.
We looked around the country and after talking to George on the phone and seeing his work we were convinced to give him a shot at our business.
Needless to say we were extremely pleased about the whole process. He sent over multiple plans and we decided to go with him. It was easy and quick. He designed to code and we just sent it thru planning and got the permit in 1.5 months. Maybe a record in Hawaii.
We are at the moment looking for a larger space as prices have finally come down. And we plan on using George and his wife Ren’e again for our new office.
I highly recommend him for any of your dental office needs. The magic he did with 628 sq. ft. was amazing. Can’t wait to see his design for a larger office.

Despite the fact that we were located halfway across the country everything worked very easily. Today, we are still very pleased with the outcome of George’s design. I contracted with Mr. George Fedyna to design my new dental office. Before we even got to any details, George saw several weak points in the air conditioning and handicap aspects of the new space. With his guidance I was able to get these corrected by the landlord at no cost to me before I signed the lease. I never would have thought of checking on these things on my own.
The first major hurdle we had to get by was the City’s “Conditional Use Permit”. This was a very long, complex, time consuming and very expensive project. I had already started working on it and figured it just had to be done. “You can’t fight City Hall” as they say. George decided he could do something about it and went to the Planning Department himself to see what could be done. Within a few days he had convinced them that the whole thing was not needed and they withdrew the entire requirement!
This saved me probably a hundred hours of my time and effort, easily two months of time to get is all done, and over $5000.00 in cost. Thank you George!

Working with George Fedyna was a great experience! George was referred to me through a colleague. I was looking for a designer to build out my new dental suite. Once I met George, I knew I was in good hands. His years of experience & expertise were obvious to me at our first visit.

I started to work with George in 2007. Usually I am quick to decide but I had many requirements for a small space to be worked out. It also didn’t help that I changed my future practice goals. George continued to work with me during the evolution with great suggestions and insights. I have been back in the office for 2 months and I continue to see the benefits of George’s design. I probably have another 2 months of finishing details and George continues to be an asset. I highly recommend George and Rene. They have helped me create an attractive functional space. I also worked with ARC Equipment and Supplies. Alan gave great suggestions on equipment and layout. They worked well together with George and Rene. I felt my interest were met.
